Hi there,

I am currently working for a company in BC (on a Cat B work permit) and have an application in for PNP (skilled worker).  I just wondered what happens once I have PNP approval, do I get an open work permit issued and can I change jobs or am I tied to my current employer until we have PR??  Just a theoretical question as I am pretty happy where I am but have the possibility of a better paid job with another employer in town in a few months time

Any help/answers would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Bin this question - I did my homework in the welcome bc website and see that I am having to stay with the same employer until I get PR!!

This is true.  If you are under employer driven stream, you normally must stay with the employer who is sponsoring you until you get PR.
