I tried to fill out the online form to add my husband to my account.  It wants a care card number for him, but of course how could he have one if he's a landed immigrant?  I can't leave it blank, it won't accept that, and I can't put in any random numbers.   If anyone knows a way to remedy this I'd appreciate it, otherwise I will just have to call them tomorrow.  I'm wondering if he has to apply separately and then I add him?  Hmm.  But if this is the case why would there be an "add a spouse" form.  More bureaucracy.

He has to fill out an application for enrollment, then you can add him to yours when the card arrives.  That's what we had to do since i'm on a group plan at work. Otherwise try printing/mailing the form instead of online.

I'm on a group plan too.  I've filled out all the forms, printed copies of documents and am ready to snail mail them.  I'll phone tomorrow just to make sure about it all.  Thanks for your input.
