I am coming for the 1st time to Canada, therefore I have already got an account created with Scotiabank. Want to know which option is better, transferring fund to the Scotiabank account or bringing traveller cheques along. Want to know the charges applicable in both the cases if anyone is aware. I will be bringing back a part of the money back from Canada after a couple of months therefore i will incur charges then as well. Therefore please suggest keeping these conditions in mind.

Regards
Sanjeev

Ask your banker for this kind of specific questions.

If I would be transferring large amounts of money, I would open HSBC premier accounts taking advantage of its commission-free, no bank charges, instant internet fund transfer between my global accounts at HSBC.
