bank loan

A friend got a bank loan from UK and left UK without paying back.He is worried now as he doesn't know what the outcome maybe.Will this create any problems for him if he applies to Canada's PR or Citizenship?

Hi I no of a few people from the UK that have either had bank loans, car debts and other debts that have come to Canada and all got the PR card and some have even got Citizenship. I think it is best to try and pay off the debt but if you can't I dont see it causing you a problem but you should check don't take my word for it I can only tell you the people I no have not had any problems but they have been in Canada for over 5 years.
