I have read that for a family of 5, i need to show around CAD 23,425 as proof of funds. Does it mean that while applying, enclosing a bank statement / bank certification letter of almost the same amount will suffice or better to have a statement / certification letter of little higher amount than this.

Hi, equivalent or more funds are ok. But it should not be lesser.
