What about HSBC?
I'm thinking of going to talk with an HSBC representative, here in Greece, and opening an account, in order to transfer money to Canada, from Greece.
What is your opinion?
Should i try another bank?
All the major banks have newcomer programs...im little confused... Roll Eyes

Hi , the ATM network or bank branches of HSBC is far lesser compared to TD or SCOTIA bank. And do remember that you have to pay around 2$ transaction charges if you withdraw your money from ATM machine other then HSBC.

Cheers..

Thank you very much SATDXB!

I will search TD and SCOTIA websites too.
A friend of mine told me that in order to open a TD bank account, i should firstly land in Canada.
For example, BMO has a program that you can open an account from here, then make one wire transfer for free, and then the amount of money is kept in the Canadian account for a year. If u dont go to Canada, this amount is returned back from its original location (greek bank in my case).

Most people say TD, or SCOTIA...so i may look there.

Thank you again
PS: How much are the charges for the rest banks? I believe quite the same...

Hi , for TD i am not aware, but SCOTIA bank a/c you can open any where.  Just look for their branch in Greece. Well all banks have same policies of transaction charges of withdrawing money from ATM machines other then its own. But in case of TD or SCOTIA, their ATM Machines are mostly available every corner. And they have many branches in one city itself.

Cheers..
