Someone in the forum has posted the link of Dainikbhaskar, which is in Hindi, where it is mentioned that CIC has banned PR application for next 2 years. I am searching for authentication of the same, but have not found anything official till now.

yes, it is right to put a ban on Parents and grand parents sponsorship just to finish the backlog.

However, they are introducing the Super visa for parents and grand parents.

Search in google about SUPER VISA FOR PARENTS and hopefully you will get the full details.

 Dear all backlog applicant,
   It is best decision of CIC ,they must clear backlog,because we are waiting for five years.Although we have passed the course of Ielts as well as french.

Its not true.
The immigration of parents of immgrants have been put on hold but the govt want to introduce the super visas.

To finish the backlog of the parents PR applications or all the FSW backlog applications?
where will this additional quota be assigned?

Help007 is right. The ban is for parent sponsorship allications. However Govt has introdced super visa concept for parents which will be valid for ten years but parents will have to buy medical insurance before applying. Only good thing with this visa is that govt is saying that it will be processed within two months
