Background declaration if separated

 I have applied under FSW in august 2009. My husband had earlier applied under simplified application process but we had separated by the time interview date came. Even he has not gone and it had been more than 2 yrs since the interview date.

 I read in some posts that people had mentioned in background declaration if they have applied under simplified application process.
I want  to know whether I had to inform about the fact that my husband was a principal applicant in the background declaration and will it affect my application. Since I have not done so what should be my next step.

Other seniors pls advise.

I forgot to mention that my husband was the principal applicant in the application and he had applied before marriage.
