Hello friends,

I am preparing my forms and materials to send to buffalo right now. I have a question about the personal history item (item 11) in background declaration form. The Guide says that" You must account for evey month since your 18th birthday. Under"Activity", print your occupation or job title if you were working"

For example, if I was studying my first semester in 2007.09 to 2007.12, shoud I write

2007.09--2007.12, Studying, Toronto, Canada, York University

Or should I write
2007.09--2007.10
2007.10--2007.11
2007.11--2007.12
in three rows with exactly the same information (activity, city, country Name of school, etc)?

I am quite confused about this item as it seems that I need to write every month what I was doing even if I had the same activity during certain period of time. But in this case I have to attach a very long spreadsheet...

Please help me and Thank you very much!

hi cece205,

in my knowledge and what I did on my application, you don't have to write every month if you're doing the same activity...

Cece,
Christo....is right....
You don't have to list every month separately. They just don't want to see any gaps between activities. Say you turned 18 in June 2000, you can say something like:
June 2000-Aug 2000.... preparing for college, Santiago, Chile, (Parent's address)
Aug 2000-May 2004....studying, NYC,  USA, Columbia University
May 2004- July 2004...Job hunting, NYC, USA
July 04-present - Working, White House, Washington DC, USA

You get my drift? Ofcourse if you held jobs/lived in different cities in between, you should list those too.
