I just joined this forum but reading your post in the past couple of months.

We just done our medical and in the X ray for my wife, the radiologist indicated that she has a mild cardiac silhouette CTR 52%. MD done all other test and he passed her indicating that he doesn't need any additional test or a report from a cardiologist. He said he doesn't want to complicate things and he will send them as she is in good health.

My question is
1.   "Mild cardiac silhouette" would this be a problem?

An enlarged cardiac silhouette simply means that the heart "appears" enlarged on the chest x-ray. An enlarged cardiac shadow could mean an enlarged heart for whatever reason. There are too many reasons:  technique, big heart due to muscle (hypertrophy: e.g., hypertension, etc) or volume (e.g., congestive heart failure), fluid surrounding the heart, etc.

It seems your wife will not fall under inadmissibility category:

Public health: If you have a communicable disease or a condition that the government believes may otherwise present a danger to the public, you may be found inadmissible. Inadmissibility findings are particularly common for applicants with active tuberculosis.

Excessive demand: You can also be found inadmissible if the government believes your condition will cause you to place an excessive demand on health or social services within the next five to 10 years.

i think 8 months time for back ground check told my the represetative of CIC and ecurity department was the maximum time, because they can not possibaly lie in frnt of committee it consist of very senior MPs .still once it is a pile of cases some one gets earlier than the other at bottom.
Dear Azmat,

I am an applicant of 2004 and did medicals in October 2011. London office informed that they are waiting for back ground check results.

dear captain qorex,

if someone's file is almost 100% ok and clear, will they still be putting the file for BFD's, one after another??? and if yes, why is that? and how many BFD's  one applicant might get if file is 100% convincing before they ask medical??? your reply will be appreciated.

Dear Captain,

It's been 5 months since my Medicals reached London VO and more than 4 months since the "Medicals Received" line added to my ecas. According to the statistics in one of the threads I am following, almost everyone has received PPR in a month or two after their medicals were received at the london vo. I am still wondering why there could be a delay in my case. Reading this thread, I assume that ONLY the background checks are remaining. But do you think, the verification also runs even after medicals? because they didn't return some of my original documents I sent to them while they did return some of my original documents along with the medicals. Kindly enlighten to get a better picture!

Thanks and Regards

Dear Ammaar Tahir, here is worse case than yours. I am August 2008 applicant. My medical and RPRF was done 28th Feb.2012. My BC is in progress but worst thing that hits me a lot is my e case which remains same of 2010. It says my file was received in 2008, and that an other line says they transferred my file in June 2010 to london they might contact me. Further, no update of medical forms  sent to me r whether they have received my medical r not.

Yes, it can be. And how many? -we'd never know.
It depends on the work volume ur VO has, and that "almost 100% Ok" being decided by the IO, not u.

Usually, the 'MR' status on ur e-Cas suggest that everything is complete and it's only a matter of time before u receive the PPR. The delay, most probably, is due to:
-The fast changing regulatory scenario of CIC;
-The work-volume of ur VO;
-Queue at the PHEP section;
-Entry quota restrictions (though not assumed at this time of the yr);
-Ur fate & destiny.

Prayers help!

Dear Qorax,
I appeared in medical about five months ago and paid rprf too. But my e case does not mention anything regarding my medical. Does it mean my medical process is not completed yet?
