Dear Qorax Sir,

I am a pre june MI-1 FSW applicant from New Delhi. My e - cas shows IN PROCESS and processing started from 30th March 2012.  I am facing a dilemma. I have got a job offer in Australia with handsome remuneration package. I have to give commitment to the firm for at least one year after joining. At this stage when my application is IN PROCESS, in case medicals and passport request comes in next couple of months, I would have to come back to India, complete my medicals and submit my passports to the visa office. After that only God knows when they would return the passports? In the absence of passports I would not be able to travel back to Australia to continue with the job.

I need your advice on two issues:
1.   Should I inform the visa office now that I am going to Australia for a job?
2.   How to manage the situation in case medicals and passport request comes while I am in Australia?

Dear Qorax Sir,

I have received an email from chc yesterday asking for additional document. They have given me 30 days to submit 1. income tax paper and 2. Bank statements showing my salary 3. PCC (which is not a problem)

Now my questions are

1. My income was never taxable and i have not filled any return of my income. I have form 16 showing the same. Is it enough to submit only form 16 or any further declaration or pay slips need to submit?

2. As all my employers had paid me salary in cash so no point to submit bank statements. I can get the same declaration from my employer on their letterhead.

Please share ur view about my chances.

regards

1. "Going" is of no consequence, if u've "gone" [and r in a new loc] then u should info ur IO asap.
2. U might've no option but to submit it personally @ CHC-ND, or if someone could carry it on ur behalf. Meds can be done in Aus itself.

1. I wouldn't know what form-16 is, however if u've never filed ur taxes - u don't've much choice, do u? Try explaining that thru ur cover letter to ur IO... and submit any other [pay related] doc if u have.

2. Yes, submit ur pay slips instead... every company does issue it's employees 'pay-stubs' even if it's paid in cash. However, if u don't have that as well, u r in for a tough battle, 'coz probably ur IO'd look at it as a diversionary tactics - being unemployed. Yes, u may try those letters from ur employers - but yet ur IO might not be convinced.

Hi,

It seems that ur case is held-up due to Security Clearance/s. Yes, it'd be wise if u fetch ur CAIPS/GCMS notes, 'coz the reasons might be indicated there. BTW, those notes take 6-8 weeks to come; & by then ur case could move further as well. However, meanwhile I'd advise u to apply for the notes anyway.

Good luck.

Hi qorax,

My file marked it's 17th month yesterday and now exceeded the average processing times.  Do you think it's ok to email my VO now and ask for the status of my file?  It's been 7 months now after medical.  Thanks.
