Dear Qorax,
If you get a chance, can you look into my case? I had received RPRF & PPR from LA VO on 31-Jan-2012. They had not requested for any additional documents from me along with request for Medicals (done in December itself) or with PPR. My passports had reached LA VO on 8th February 2012 and the RPRF demand draft has been encashed on 24-Feb-2012. I had still not received my passports.
Any clues on what could LA VO be working on without issuing VISA and passports to me? Will they do any background checks even after the passports were requested for stamping? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I applied CAIPS report last week.
1. Now I want to know can I send email/ fax to CSIC to know my background checks or over or not?
2. How long it take to get response from CSIC?
3. Is this will cause any problem (in processing)

1. U can, but they r unlikely to divulge anything worthwhile. 2. U may or may not get a reply. Depends on the quality of the query. Ppl have recd responses in 2-7 days. 3. No issues at all. |

U should be getting ur pps back anytime now.
Thank you Qorax for your super fast response. I moved to canada about an year back. My Immigration application was pending with Buffalo VO before I moved to Canada. So, I had never submitted my clearance from Canadian authorities. I am just wondering if LA VO is working on getting the clearance from Canadian authorities? Also my ECAS status has not changed. It is still showing as "In Process". |

Hey sidestep4u...you give me shivers yaar. Anyway, why did you suddenly get this question in your mind??? Has your RPRF DD been encashed? The DD has a validity of 6 months, and i am sure the VO knows it too. Lets keep checking that every 15 days. |

i stopped checking dd encashement after mar 15th . i dont want to check it anymore unless somebody posts its encashed those who are in my time frame. |

I might suggest you to wait from the notes. You will be clear about the updates. Moreover, what about your ecas status? A person can get an idea from ecas. If it is RBVO, then still they are checking your background.
my ecas showing in process...it says you application received on feb 2011 we start process you appliaction in feb 2011 we received you medical results...thats alll my ecas shows I sent them 2 email i got reply "Your application has been reviewed by an officer and is pending the final decision. You will be notified once all steps are complete" sent email in Jan then they replied "Your e-mail has been forwarded to the appropriate section for any necessary action. If anything further is required at this time, the section will contact the applicant." so don't know my background checks r over or not really confuse..any suggestionssssss? |

the prb is don't know what going on? i asked them background checks r still on but they never gave me right reply...so don't know background checks still on or not..do u have any idea? |

and this is the reply received today in response to CSI sent on 7th March 2012. I am worried what kind of BC they are doing which is not completed even after so many month, can anyone suggest WATS GOING ON, WAT KIN OF BC WHICH IS NOT COMPLETED YET,I VE NO TRAVEL HISTORY.

My ecas says
"We received your application for permanent residence on September 8, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 29, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

It is important to mention that on 14 Jul,2011 I received mail from London VO for submitting updated police certificates for the following:
•Principal applicant: Pakistan
•Spouse/Common-Law Partner: Pakistan
the required certificates send through DHL on 16th Aug,2011 (received at VO on 18th Aug,2011).
Afterward, Documents/request for addition of baby sent n reached London VO, on 16-12-2011.(Baby BD encashed on 11-01-2012)since then waiting for MR.
