Hi Qorax,
my medical is finaly issued,

however,
the embassy required again an updated letter showing my current employment and updated Schdule A to be filled, does this that my file is still going the background check, or is it only to update their records?

regards

Hi Qorax,

Just a quick question, my colleague applied for FSW visa and received his PER in December 2011. His IELTS points when he applied was 12 and total FSW points was 68. while waiting for the response from CIO, he took another IELTS exams and obtained 14points. Do you think it wise or right to send the new IELTS result to his Visa office? Also, Do you think if he apply for CAIPS note now he will be able to know when his file will be treated as per BF'D. i await your response.

Quorax,

Having read this forum, my understanding is that security checks start after meds and could take 3-5 months. How come for some, it is much quicker as I know of three people who got their ppr and visa within a month.

Have you any idea why this is?

U can submit fresh docs, incl IELTS results... they'd be accepted & assessed.

Regards,

For 2011 applicants u could halve those timeframes - coz' they r processed faster. However not all of them would move fast... some may yet take the std time, this is based on the simplicity/complexity of processing each file.

Congrats!

1. 2-3 weeks usually.
2. That's alright.
3. It'd be 1yr from the day u 'took' ur meds; OR the expiry date of ur pps, whichever comes earlier.
4. No.
5. The 80:20 Rule.
