Respected Qorax,    first of all heartly thanks 4 ur reply.Actually my problem is that there is my family/sir name on my passport but on my AOR it was missed so at that time i had sent a requisition letter through speed post to NDVO but again it is missed on my medical request, medical forms and also inmy E-case  so it is very necessary to amend the records of NDVO otherwise it will create problem after visa stamping.secondly my father name is also wrong on all letters which they have send to me .SO i m very much worried about this problem.pls guide me  in this situation . i need ur reply soon sir  so i can act upon this. with regardS PAMM Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Dear Qorax,
NDVO issued meds, RPRF and PP request on 4th Nov. They received PP and RPRF on 17th Nov and meds on 25th Nov. The RPRF DD was encashed on 1st Dec. Till date I have not got PPs back with the Visas.

I received GCMS on 14th Nov stating that meds were issued but background and crimanility checks were still pending.

Plz help me understand
1) Is issuing MR and PPR without conducting BG and Crim checks is normal?
2) Many forum members who were issued MR and PPR after mine have already received Visas. What might be the deciding factor?
3) On an average how long does it take for NDVO to complete BG and Crim checks?
4) By when can I expect my Visa and COPR?

Cheers,
Param

1, 2, 3: Your GCMS is likely to have been retrieved before your med reports reached them. The security clearance is obtained 'only' after the meds r received @ VO. B/g checks would have completed. SECCRIM is done initially thru the PCCs, not the SDEC.

4. 2-4 months from the meds reaching @ VO [for 2011 applicants].

Respected Qorax ,
Actually on medical request they mentioned my name s/o xxxxxx   & in my maililig address, my father's name is also wrong so i think it should be correct because  it will create problem if i want to sponsor my father in future.Thats why i am worring about it.

Hi
Do't delay your medical...take an appointment with a DMP in your area and do it as soon as possible...They will correct the names as per passport at the time of visa stamping.. Qorax is a very senior and experienced member he does not give a wrong advise...

CIO doesn't "assess" our case...
They just check the completeness of the application & supporting docs & see if the NOC is correct - then issue PER/NER. It is the VO who performs anything & everything thereafter.

5.5 might not necessarily cause a rejection - but makes our case very weak, which could double-up as a detrimental tweak if the IO finds other issues.

Qorax
dear qorax
I got my PER on 16th November 2011. my application must have been RBVO already though i have no knowledge of tht. my question is:
1. will it b right for me to sit ielts again and submit the new results ASAP hopefully with improved scroes to London visa office.
2.if the VO is not satisfied with the IELTS result will they reject the application outrightly or will they ask for improved results.
please suggest cause i am at my wits end due to this issue.
