I did my Medical on 14th October and same was received at CIC London on 19th October Medical officer reviewed/assessed and finalized on 4/11/2011. Hope this answers your query..

Dear Mr. QORAX;
                    
                            Requesting your Kind & Expert opinion !
                
                     In response to my recent query, I have received the same monotonous reply,  as received in October 2011, that

                     "Your application is awaiting the results of routine background checks "
 
          
            Maximum how much time  they may take to complete the routine background checks?
 
          Confirm are they doing secondary stage background Checks (i.e Security & criminality) ?
            OR
          Are they still verifying my documents ?

          Its a Provincial Nominee Case waiting for Medical since the submission of complete application in May 2009.
            &  submitted updated Forms and Photographs, in July 2011.

I received my MR on 9th Oct.2011 Did Medical on 11th and DMP sent on 15th CIC London received on 16th Oct. and Medicals were assessed and finalized by medical team on 4/11/2011. (CAIPS). There is no change in ECAS (still In Process). I received PPR through email on 7th Dec.

Dear Qurax

I am one of the applicants of Jan 2010. My file was transferred in NDVO in March 2010. Full documents submitted in April 2010 and ""IN PROCESS with your application was reviewed and the processing has started " inside the box since March 2011. No medical till date. But, A couple of week ago CHC ND called to my previous office from where i had shown my experience.They talked and inquired about my work experience and wanted to talk me. But  I am out of country since April 2011 resigning my job. My office staff has given my mobile number to the caller to contact me. they have not yet called me. So what can they do now or what can be the next step from CHC ND please guide me regarding my background check.........

that's the employement verification call it's part of background check. don'tworry this call generally don't get to all applicant, even Buffalo vo called to my indian employer in august 2010 than after no more call to any employer and even the file transfer to another visa office. if you want to know the VO comments than order CAIPS note.
