Hi Qorax,

My daughter's passport is expiring in Jan-12. So, I renewed the same recently. Do I need to update VO about the same?

Dear Captain Qorax,

My Timeline is as appeared left side and the e-CAS status is as below:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 22, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 25, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on June 29, 2011.

I am worried abt that the status of my file is not the same as others as I am post June applicant.
Most of the  post June applicants received their MR within a week when their status changed to IN PROCESS. but in my case I still didn't receive any instruction from them.
Can u please suggest some on this situation ? Do I need to make any query to SGVO or not ? Is the processing running in right way ?
Some applicants already received their VISA who applied at same time.

Thank YOU very much in advance.

Dear Captain Qorax,

I sent my PR (FSW 1) application to Sydney,NS on May 2011, got PER /1st AoR on June 2011 and lastly got 2nd AoR from SGVO on July 2011, eCAS: RBVO.

My questions are:
1.
At this situation noted above, could I be assured that SGVO counted my points and it's ok?
2. At present, my BG check is running? or BG check will start running when eCAS show: In Process?
3. According to your prediction when may I get MR?

Advance thanks to you.

With best regards.

Dear Qorax, regarding the updated information chat which i received with PPR1, I have to mention eye colour codes for me and my family members. In the forms sent earlier, I have mentioned dark brown and light brown against eye colour. In the said chat there is no code for dark or light brown colours only code is for brown colour. Please advise what to write in the particular colum.

Thanking you in advance.

Regards
Hammad

Sir,
Some Visa Offices (Like: SGVO) are not working on PR files submitted after Dec 2010 (MI-2 issues). Is it correct? If yes, why?

Looking forward for your reply.

With regards.

hollowman

Not correct. They r working on them, however those have a separate [& longer] queue than the MI3 cases.

Dear Qorax,
I got latest reply from CHC ISB against my query which says:
"Your application is currently in process and is in queue for review by an immigration officer. Background checks are over for applicant."
As they have indicated that background checks are over, in your opinion, how more time they would take in issuing PPR as my re-medical is going to expire in Mar-12?

U may or may not. Could be done @ the PPR stage as well.
However, if u do so now -- it might rekindle your processing.

Dear Qorax,

Looking at my timelines, is it the right time to change the job OR I should wait for sometime and if I don't get MR (say 2-3 months from now) then I should change? What do u think?

U shouldn't keep your life on a leash due to the processing... if u get a better job, go ahead asap.

Hi qorax,

My VO (Buffalo) received my meds June 13, 2011 and I've been sending them an email once every month since then ... It would be very disappointing for me if it turns out my PPR has been delayed because of this ... Sad

But it's always a status inquiry email (not a case specific inquiry through CIC website) ... they always reply same or next day with the exact same message: pending background info from other govt. offices

P.S.: I requested CAIPS and sent a fax for the first time to CSIS 3 weeks ago ... waiting for a reply from both

an
any update buddy.....
