Dear Qorax,
I am post June 2010 applicant. My Application went "IN PROCESS" on ECAS in August 2011. I sent an email to CHC London about the update. Their reply was " BACK GROUND CHECKS ARE OUTSTANDING , IT MIGHT TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS"
I want to know , that have they alredy started backgrounds checks and waiting for results or YET TO START !!!!!

DEAR QORAX
WE WERE ASKED TO SEND PASSPORTS FOR FAMILY IMMIGRATION VISA AND TO CONTACT IMMIGRATION OFFICER IF I DID NOT HEAR FROM THEM FOR SIX WEEKS. AFTER 7 WEEKS I CONTACTED THEM AS PER THERE INSTRUCTION. THEY REPLIED THAT MY APPLICATION IS UNDERGOING BACKGROUND CHECKS AND IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF MORE WEEKS AND THAT IF NEED MY PASSPORTS OR WANT MY PASSPORTS TO BE THERE WITH THEM. MY REPLY WAS THAT NO PROBLEM IF OUR PASSPORTS REMAIN THERE ALTHOUGH MY SON WHO IS IN CANADA STUDYING IN UNIVERSITY, NEEDS TO RENEW HIS STUDY PERMIT WHICH IS TO EXPIRE IN DECEMBER, 2011.THE NEXT DAY THE REPLY WAS that we are returning ALL YOUR PASSPORTS AFTER 4 DAYS AND THAT THEY WILL LET US KNOW WHEN OUR FILE IS FINALIZED FOR ISSUANCE.
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IT MEANS

I'm waiting for PPR since June 2011. Almost 5 months up for security checks. VO email replies don't work (they're always the same).
I ordered CAIPS/GCMS notes a couple days ago. Will get it in a month and a half.
Also sent a fax to CSIS (after reading this forum). Will get a reply hopefully in a month.
Will let this forum know when I get any update. Right now I'm frustrated!

i hed passport request on 18th of oct 2011, same week before sent passport to chc london
my e case shows , decsion made , what is this mean ? has my visa printed , and my file is
completad and closed , no more checks etc ............ what could be the mean ?
my class is femily class and i have appeal won case thanks , i have sent my pp 4 days ago .

kindly explain me about the INPROCESS.When our file goes in INPROCESS status,at that same time our b/g checks starts or if any add docs are required ,then after receiving that add docs VO starts checks or it could start before add docs.

Meds can only be releaqsed AFTER the b/g checks r over/comnpleted.
Hi Qorax I have a question (It may have been answered elsewhere but I could not find). Is it possible that VO may go for background (security, documentation, employer etc) checks after MR & PPR have been issued and (received at VO) and RPRF has been encashed?? Thanx in advance |

{ "satisfied with the points"... note: crim/backgrnd pending; ask for updated forms also POF, MR & RPRF}
as per email correspondence, they told me background checks are on
what dopes it means, sec checks?

when we sent email to CHC ND if background checks on then they normally say your background checks still going but in my email they said VO reviewd my file n is pending the final decision... don't you think background checks will ove...
My medical will expire in feb...will CHC ND will take decision before my medical expire??
