hi dear qorax.....im new in forum my visa office is delhi  i received 2nd aor ion 10 may....its 4 months no news no addtionnal document req no veri calll.....u r a very senior n experienced member so i have 1 qtion am i ok with 67 points as its been 4 months if i was not ok with pts i should have already recd rej letter stating shortage of pts....when does vo count pts i think its on psdec date so i have already cleared dat date ...plsss throw some light....very much appreciable t care

Yes, most probably u r good with your 67 by now. Give it around 5-7 months for the Meds nowadays (from the 2nd AOR) & sometimes there might not be a need for addnl docs at all.

Good luck!

Dear Qorax,
Well m new to this web but just interested to ask you one question that: Recently i got post from CHC London, asking for medical and PR Fees, but the problem with me is that i only got 1.5 month work permit left here in UK and i'm no longer interested to extend my uk work permit, so do you think if i do my medical tomorrow will it be possible to get my PR pasted in 1.5 month time as i found on this forum they do B/G search and all this after medi?

Well few details regarding my case is

Application Filed on 30th Aug 2007,
Document submission request on : 2 Nov 2009,
Documents Submitted on : 15 Feb 2010,
Medical and PR Fee demand on : 11 Sep 2010.

After getting this medical form i got hope to get PR but not sure how to process it any faster please guide me if possible,

It'd take 2-5 months to get the PPR after the Meds & 2 weeks to get the visa stamped (by hand) thereafter from CHC-London.

Usually the PPR comes by 3 months, sometimes by 5 months & quite a few situations could take 7 months, unless there r red flags.

U can change your address by sending them an e-mail request or using the web form @ the CIC site. There's a link right under the e-cas for that purpose.

Dear Captain
I have received 2nd AOR but i need to ask ....should i send them Travel History form which was not included in the checklist (old one).  After sending the forms, i found and by then I had received 2nd AOR.
1. Do u think it is a must to send it now or should i wait for the VO to ask for it if she/he needs when my e-cas will be in ''In-Process''?
2. Is there a chance they may return my application over missing of the Travel History form?

Just replied to your PM as well...

Usually they ask if this form is not sent. But nowadays they r getting finicky & returning apps for anything they feel. So, send it imdtly.

Dear Mayank,

I cannot state the facts, but can only opine... It sure looks like the current stance on PR is weighed towards clearing the backlog, rather than taking-in new applications.

Canada definitely needs new immigrants - in hordes. It's vastly under populated & the current baby boomers shall run out of steam - soon. More than us they need our kids here, aka first generation citizens... Jobs r galore, much of the terrain needs to be harnessed, there's huge potential for infrastructure development... They need hands - everywhere. So, why do u think they have limited the new apps?

Uh yes, time it'd take for the old cases, 'coz w/out severe background & security checks no one would be brought-in, & files r in heaps - some pending scrutiny returns (from external agencies), some hitting the dust (for admin reasons), while some r in long queues for final reviews. The combinations r matrixed. But they r getting at it - certainly.

The current immigration policy is not flawed, it had been deeply deliberated upon & definitely seems to be drawn towards the old backlogs. The lawmakers r actually doing a good job at it.

Just hold your horses - the silverline is sure around the corner!

I have applied for my husbands immigration. its been in process in Islambad for the last 16 months. Did re-medical in Feb after which they asked me to send them an updates police certificate. This was back in May 2010. Ever since then my case is in background checks... I was advised to write to CSIS to find out if my case is with them.. i recieved a letter from them that they have not yet recieved my case... and that i should contact the embassy... i have contacted the embassy several times over the past months and they just write to me that my case is in background checks and they don't know how long its going to take. I don't know what i should make of this... my case is not with CSIS.. the embassy is not giving any other information to me or the MP.
Should i write again to the embassy and be like i have contacted CSIS and they don't have my file.. where is it then? i am sure they wont have an answer for me this time as well... what should i do then.. I am going to be into my 17th month soon... I am desperate .... advice something plss.

This is unfortunate. Kindly meet your MP & ask him/her to intervene & enquire about your FC sponsorship application.
