Dear Qorax!

Kindly tell could it be possible that anyone [Employer] receive verification call before the status turned into          "In Process". Like at stage of "Received By VO".

Thanks

Hi Canada1234,

My status changed to "in process" and it says they started processing my file on 19.08.10. Till now I/Employer didn't got any verification call. As mentioned by Qarax, normally verification call will come only after "in process" - that is after determining eligibility of your file for further processing, points verification etc... One more thing.. if your docs are sufficient to prove your employment, they may not call for verification.

In my case, I believe that I have submitted all possible docs to prove my job/duties etc. It is upto the VO, whether verification call t be made or not... If your claim is genuine.... then why to worry... let him call and verify....

All the best...

Not a problem unless u r holding a sensitive post in the Govt, especially in the Military &/or Foreign Services.

Countries visited even for a day - causes more work on Security Checks.
Especially if travelled to/thru certain regions. I hope u understand what I mean?

hi qorax,

i have some queries with regards to background check...i already submitted my full application but i still have some doubt when i filled up the personal history in background/declaration form...wherein i only mention mostly my working activity...i did not mention in my personal history that i travel to a country for a vacation as a tourist...i stayed only for 4 days as a short break from my work. i didn't mention also the hotel where i stayed in the addresses.

does it affect the processing of my application? do we really need to mention this short vacation in the background/declaration form? i checked in some visa offices...they require applicants to submit their travel history together with their full documents. but manila visa office doesn't ask for it.

many thanks in advance.

Relax! Usually short trips of a day or two can be avoided in the apps. However, once your pps reach them, they may tally it & ask u questions. If your trips were genuine short vacs, u can always justify them then.

Dear Quorax,

I am Aug.2006 Old Applicant VO New Delhi. Well i have submitted my file via *****. Since then i was not able to see my status on e-CAS . I contacted CIC 4/5 week ago & provided then update. They told me that they will contact concerned office  & i will be informed. But Before i get reply from them  i was able to see my status since last 20 days. I also got email from CIC 4/5 days ago & they informed me that they have updated my record. Now what i want to know is that when i check first time in e-CAS , the communication address was available ( of my Consultant) but since last 3/4 days ago i found that the address is not displayed now , it only shows my Name & In-process status  & when i clieck on In process it shows " We started processing your application since Sept. 13,2006 ".

What is my question to you why communication address is removed ? Infact it happens to Some of New Delhi , Islamabad & London office candidates. Do you think that i should hope for Updation Letter soon ? or it is normal ?

Awaitng your reply

@ Mayank

I think, lately this is a new trend occurring on the e-Cas. Ususally it happened when someone applied for an Address Change - then they used to remove the older address & take a bit extra time to update the new one. However, the current situation is unique.

I'd advise - allow it some more time & probably the e-Cas will get organized by itself, unless CIC took to remove the address bar altogether as a new system process.

BTW, what difference it makes anyway if the address is there or not? What we'd rather be interested in seeing/knowing is our e-Cas status, isn't it?
