Relax, ppl's e-Cas state 'in process' for over 12-24 months, in many cases. Not that it'd be such for u - just hold your horses. Your silverline should be visible soon.

Hi Qorax,

The PR card is required to re-enter Canada by commercial carrier (airplane, boat, train or bus) only. This requirement does not apply if you are travelling by private vehicle.

Is above statement still true?

I live in US and landing in Calgary for couple of days and come back. I'll start working in Canada at a later date and thinking about re-entering in my own car (I am pakistani Citizen, at the time of re-entry will use landing entry documents to proof i am perm resident).

Hello Qorax,

Can you please comment on following;

I got my CAIPS in Nov. 2010
and second time I got today, June 2011.

Second one is word to word copy of first one.
1) In Sept 2010 I submitted IELTS
2) I got medical request on 19 May 2011.
3) As per Nov 2010 my BFD was Dec 2010, but can not see any other BFD after Dec 2010.
4) New Caips does not indicate that I applied & got Caips earlier also.

I applied for CAIPS through Caipsnotes.com both the time, I am suspecting even second time I have been forwarded my earlier copy.

Is it possible that site owner applied and got similar copy even after so many update happened since my last CAIPs notes?
Is it possible that recent caips can be without having info/entry of previous caips request?

thanks...

1. Retrieval of CAIPS notes isn't reflected on the CAIPS -- they r handled by different offices.
2. Your Jun2011 CAIPS was retrieved somewhere around Apr/May2011 - could be that nothing further was logged.
3. It's not advisable to fetch our CAIPS often -- sometimes there might not be anything to record.
4. I don't think your agent just repeated the same [Nov2010] CAIPS.
5. U might not have got all the pages of the CAIPS notes. A new BF'D ought to be there, somewhere.
