Hi Qorax,

Thank you for your response.
one more thing i have been to USA  for 2 different times but my visit was official and also the stay was less than 3 months both the times. Is this the reason for delay ? As i have seen most of the people are getting visa in 2 months time after medicals and passports submission.

Candreamz

Whether there's a delay on a/c of that cannot be opined. However yes, those visits (any foreign trips, for that matter) rings additional bells with CIC.

Hello Qorax,

Just to reconfirm on what you mentioned below that People who get request for PPR, their background and security check are already complete And if their medical is through, they will be issued Visa ??

To: All the members above who got 'reMeds'

Pls note that reMeds r a requirement for further processing your case - once the 'older' meds get 'expired'. It's a regular std procedure of the CIC. A call for reMeds is a 'normal work' of your VO -- It doesn't mean that your case file has come to 'finalization' or whether the case has been 'security cleared'.

The s/checks might yet be going-on... but the reMeds will still be needed by the CIC to keep your file 'open'.

It's only once the s/check returns 'cleared' that we would get the PPR. Thus, how much time it'd take once the reMeds r done - could not be anticipated. It could be a few months, or many. Generally speaking, one should be aware that the s/checks usually take about 3-7 months max. And that depends on case-to-case basis.

Nonetheless, over the various forums we have observed/learnt that once the 2nd Meds r done, usually the case comes to a 'conclusive end' in a couple of months. Say by 2-3 months. It's very rare that someone would go for their 3rd meds.

Thanks for your reply qorax

Did you mean that they will hold the passport for 3 - 5 months for completing back ground check or this is done before they ask for medical and passport?

Is there any way to send the medicals first and send passport later. Like we have 45 days time frame to send the medicals and passport which I understand from this forum and send the passport in the last days within the time frame(45days)? Does this make any sense?

Sans_May2010

As long as u have a 'cleared' PCC, u have nothing to worry.
Yes, even if u have submitted 'all-in-one' package [a CHC-ND specialty] u'd yet need to wait for those timeframes for the s/checks (3-5 months). As w/out the s/clearances we cannot expect to obtain our Visa/s.

It was only in the yr-2009 that CHC-ND was 'superfast' - for some cases. Wherein, they ran s/checks concurrently with the b/ground checks. And thus, could issue the PRVs in 2 months from the 'package' sent. But, as observed over the forums, they have made that policy redundant now.

Dear Mr. Qorax,

My Application Details:

Applied: June 2009
Visa Office: London
Nationality: Pakistan
Medical Done:02-08-2009
Waiting for PPR

I have one problem which always bothered me. I applied through the consultant. He did not asked about the travel history for me and my wife. Therefore we did not mention in the application. I was not aware that it is very important, Actually I have traveled in 2004 to UK and Europe for 10 days (I traveled on the old passport that was expired before I submit the application and I applied with new passport). My wife traveled 2 times to UAE.

When We filed the application, Travel History was not on the checklist of London office. Even CHC did not requested as an additional document for travel history during processing the application.

How you see my case now. please give your valuable comments. Is there anything to worry about?
They can easily get my traveling record from UK and Eu, That could delay our case? Shall I send them now before the PPR?

The 'travel history' is not asked from everyone. You consultant was right. And u don't need to send it either... wait for the CHC to ask, if they will. Always remember -- "send 'only' what is asked, not one paper more or less".

because i need to travel abroad every month for my present job. if the PP and Med request comes together and if I am home that time I can just send the medical and then go to work and get back and submit passport if the VO ask passport & med a few days prior to my trip abroad. I am just thinking all possible chances qorax.

Anyway many thanks for your replies.

Have nice week end. Sans_May2010

So according to this Nutshell, Post June 26th process will save the timeline in blue letters. That is, they are not going to get any 2nd AOR, because their 1st AOR has already passed final eligibility review. So the next step for Post June 26th applicants starts from Background check.

Am I right Qorax?

The Process in a Nutshell:

Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Qualitative Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >

Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Eligibility Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR >
Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >

Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
*The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together.

Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".

Dear friends,
we received CAIPS notes. Our file had been under background check for 7-8 months.
Could anyone interpret the following sentence.
PAPER FILE SENT TO MLZ FILE BF'D TO: SEC ON 06-01-2011

Thank you.

Thank you.

Your 'eligibility review' has been completed.
U have obtained PSDEC-1.
And the case file was sent to MLZ (an officer @ your VO) to 'microfilm' the file.
U have a "VO Review Date" of 1st Jun 2011 (which is a 'deadline BFD').
