Hello everyone
Thanks in advance whosoever wants to help me i am curious about Background checks whether CIC does background checks before Interview or after interview.
As i received AOR on feb 6,2008 and interview was on 5 , nov 2008 i wonder what they did between this time they didn't do any background check now its 31 December, 2008 after interview two months gone i didn't hear from them what they doing as my case still is shown in process can anybody help plz?

Hi,
I suggest you ask the Embassy about the current status of your file. Background chek is thier procedure. When and how is upto them. Probably it may be (?) still pending for that, which you will be able to know if you contact them.

yes it takes sometimes up to three months to get ur pr after interview they do so much of background checks dont worry about that you will hear soon from them but u can also contact them they might not answer u but u keep calling till u get sme info from them

If you e mail them please do it thru ECAS - "Case Specific Enquiry". Otherwise they may NOT AT ALL look to your mail. Every day lot of e mails are received at the Visa Sections and a number of them related to general enquiries.

Salam , i was just reading post. the normal procedure for the visa processing is 1-interview, 2- medical and then they do security check. normally they do background check during the normal process of application and it all these work is done by the SCIS a different department working on such things.
So dont worry it will be done soon inshallah. i am also waiting for this lousy security check and the immigration officer said that he is hoping that it will be done withing 8 weeks and said that he is not really certain about that. But we should always hope for the best and stay positive. ALLAH will help us all to go through this painful time of being apart from our partners.

Thanks nabs your visa officer was good to say 8 weeks mine one said it will take two weeks and i am waiting so long i pray web for both of us inshallah ul aziz good news will come for both of us.

just want to ask you Saqib, when did you apply for the visa and was there any compllications or what? And do you have any wrong with your security check or not? i dont understand that you said its already been one and half year to your case. Would you mind telling me about a little bit of your case? thanks

nabs we applied for Sponsorship in September in Canada their reply come early in 35 days and then we got letter that our case has been forwarded to Islamabad,Pakistan for further Processing then
February 23 our case started in islamabad
in may,10 they needed divorced certificate of my wife
then 5 November my interview
now i am waiting everything is okay in my record they should not have problem with security checks seems they are punishing us worse slow process
