I'm about to send in for my background check and I see that it could take up to 16-18 weeks to receive the results.

Besides just wanting to get it back asap so I can continue the application process, what would be example(s) of the a reason why I would need it by a certain date?

Advice? Thanks!

Because you're applying for immigration and you have deadlines to meet.

They don't actually check.
