HI, Any one of you are aware about the back ground checks done by out sourced agencies. Very few people would know all the checks. What kind of checks they will do? Some are obvious, but as I said, very few people here would know all the checks.what should l take precautions or action for this kind of verification... If you mean how do you get around the checks, why would anyone help a person to cheat the system? Any attempts to "take precautions", would be likely to make matters worse if discovered.
Maybe I misunderstand your intent, let's hope so
Pls do assist me. Jol

Hi,
What I gathered from varios discussions :
Background check starts shortly after the application was logged in and is conducted parallel to application consideration without applicant's participation. Some visa posts are sending request for security check to CSIS (Canadian spy agency) after selection decision is made, other do it when preliminary assessment is positive. Background check is also conducted to check out if applicant or any of his dependents could be involved in espionage or terrorism activities or be of any other danger to Canada. There is no set timeframe for background check. Its duration can be affected by such factors as military service, foreign trips, membership in political organizations. It takes as much time as it requires by the relevant agencies. If the feed back from other agencies delayed the total process may be slowed down.

continue on etc, fraud , bankruptcy, A Fake name (some people use multiple name and get degrees, education certifications) fall under etc as per OMM (some people are fraud registered at Police station but not arrested in some countries, that means case is registered and pending arrest warrant even waiting for court appearance, for example in Pakistan India Bangladesh srilanka courts work very slow , somany cases still pending in court for arrest since > 10years). I hope you got it

Most of the things related to B/G checks have already been elaborated above, rest of some Action that performed by CSIS is copied as below from its own site
csis-scrs.gc.ca/prrts/scrt-scrnng-eng.asp#bm04
Immigration and Citizenship Screening
While Canada's long and valued tradition of welcoming immigrants and visitors continues, Canada and its allies must maintain a heightened and sustained vigilance to counter acts of political or religiously motivated violence and espionage, all of which constitute a threat to our personal and national security, including our economic security. Maintaining the integrity of the immigration system is a vital part of strengthening Canada's security environment.
The objective of CSIS's Immigration and Citizenship Screening Program is to prevent non-Canadians who pose security risks from entering or receiving status in Canada. The program is founded on the security-related criteria contained in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Citizenship Act; therefore, CSIS provides security advice regarding immigration and citizenship matters to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CSIS also conducts security screening of Canadian visa applicants and prospective immigrants[/b][/size] in cases where the applicant presents potential security concerns.

Back ground check, as my experience: They assigned local visa office ( Canadian visa office in your own country) to make phone calls to you and your company at the same time to ask: Whether you work there, what are your duties, where are you ( if they call you at company desk telephone but you are not in the office at that time, they don't call your cell phone........) something like that. And then local visa officer will report to your Visa office about the calls

Thanks, it is good to get real world experience, obviously there are other unseen checks going on as well.
