if it's a recognized university in its home country then yes it will be accepted
i don't know about the points but you have to find out whether the credit hours are equivalent to a 3 yr or 4 yr bachelor degree.

A distance learning credential is eligible for points as long as it meets the definition of a credential
as outlined in R73. If the credential is not described in terms of number of years duration (i.e.,
three-year bachelor's degree), officers should apply the definition of full-time equivalent study and
knowledge that the visa office has acquired on local education institutions and credentials.

In other words, if the degree is recognized in your country, then it is recognized for points.
If you took 6 years to do a 3 year degree, then it would count as if it was 3 years.

As for OP, if your dgree is equivalent to a normal delhi university degree, then you will get the same points as them.

Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

Distance education is equally valid as full time programs. I know an applicant who completed his graduation and post graduation in FInace (B.Com + MBA Finance) through distance learning program calimed the maximum points of education and he is already in Canada from October last year.
