Is it required to take debit card ??how much is it useful??

if u r afraid to carry cash with u then , u can take axis bank card with u .

i have got  Axis bank travel card with me .  parents can top it up anytime with more money .   Smiley

Take CAD cash! Open up a bank account. Ask your parents to transfer the rest to the account through wire transfer. No cost of foreign exchange or anything which you might have to face if you are using some sort of travel card. As far as I know, they got quite a hefty exchange charges. Then again, I might be wrong.

But people are just afraid of carrying cash. Don't be.
