Hi,

I'm awaiting my PR card, but I have to travel soon within Canada. I know they accept BC ID to fly domestically, but I have the old BC ID (it does have an expiry date, 2013). Is it still valid, or am I required to change to the one introduced in 2008?

I have no problem using my ID here in BC. None of the clerks ever mentioned that they do not accept it anymore, but I just want to be 100% sure.

Thanks!

Surely no problem, It is just fine. You dont even need to show nothing even if you manage to get your boarding card from the machine... Later for boarding they just check your boarding pass...Any way BC ID is just fine too if you need to deal with the flight counter...
