For those who got a photo specification problem and need to apply for TRAVEL DOCUMENT From ABU DHABI  here are the requirements.

Cover letter
1.Document Checklist
2.Application for Travel Document Form (IMM5524E)
3.Two recent Passport photos
4.Supplementary Application Form
5.Demand Draft (Fees)
6.Original Passport
7.Photocopy of Gulf Residence Permit (from passport)
8.Proof of Physical Presence in Canada
(for example: For Entry Date you can show - Confirmation of Permanent Residence Photocopy,
 For Exit Date you can show some receipt or Credit Card Statement)
9.Self Addressed Envelope

In the application form (IMM5524E), there is a question : When do you intend to return to Canada? , the date you mention is used by the visa office to decide the validity.
 
For eg: you apply for TD on 1st August and mentioned your "return to Canada" date as 29th August, the visa will mostly be valid till 30th / 31st August.
