Awaiting Confirmation

Hi, as I posted before, I sent my wife's application to Mississauga on Friday.  I sent it by courier to the non P.O box address.  I then checked on the CIC website under the section of "after applying".
It read

Once you (the sponsor) are notified that your application has been received, you can check the status of your application online under the I Need To... section on the right-hand side of this page.

How will they notify me that the app has been recieved?

this line sounds really confusing, as the only notification the sponsor receives is approval/denial of sponsorship.

Hello

you can Check the Application status with your Receipt Number (IMM 5401)
that can be one way of finding out if your  Application is recieved.
by the time i found out you can do that they already Processed it and sended me a letter

we tried it lots of times using our Receipt Number (IMM 5401). the only notice we received the day we were able to log in to ecas where they said that decision was made on sponsorship application

oh, ya thats what happend to me to . when i loged on it was the same day that the decision was made. I guess it only works is when they start processing it. guessing the best thing to do is wait. oh and it took 5 days for mailing . i filled my application online. Downloaded of the website. its faster. how about the tracking number for the mail. I trusted that it tells you it made it.

Hmm, The receipt issue is a little different while applying in Japan, so I can't really go about it that way.  Guess I will wait for the 32 days till they make their decision.
