Dear Everyone,
We did our medicals last June - my wife and myself in the Middle East and the two kids in our home country. We just updated as well the updated PCC. BUT last week we got a letter from Canadian Health Officer - requiring my son (almost 6 years old) to undergo further medical examination, this time he needs to be referred to a developmental doctor and psychologist. We really don't know what to do, as a parent I have witnessed that my son does not only have mild autism but an average one (as diagnosed previously by a developmental doctor but we opted not to reveal to the DMP for fears that we will be rejected, of course apparently the DMP noticed it during the medical). My son currently is attending speech therapy and he can actually utter words but of course there is an evident delay.
We are given 90 days to complete the furtherance. Please can you advise us how to deal this? We are actually contemplating of letting go our application at the same time we want to complete this further requirement since we have invested a lot already.
Anyone who has similar experience? Please can your share. Many thanks
Regards,

* We just sent as well the updated PCC
We do appreciate if you can share your thoughts about this case since at this point we are weighing everything and as I mentioned we are thinking of not undergoing the furtherance.
Many thanks

Hi journey2010, I really don't know to tell you for sure what could happen with your MR, as I don't know how they translate the "reduce and prevent excessive demand on Canada's health ". I did see a couple of threads from other sites which unfortunately are not so encouraging. Let's just hope that the MD will be in favor... http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=708399http://dolphineducon.com/blog/?p=599There is only one way now. Go for it and hope for the best. Good luck and the best for you and your family

You are most welcome journey2010,
in fact there must be lots of sites out there giving details about similar cases and if there is something that you can do to fight it, in case they decline on this ground. You can google the term and find more advices, I just took a quick look around. Just be prepared and expect everything, cause I don't see a de facto answer when it comes to the interpretation of the medical results.
Again I wish you good luck and please update us on the outcome. It will help more people who will also wish to apply in the future.

Hi, I don't want to sound negative, but isn't a problem to hide information on medicals? I mean, what if they find out that you decide to hide the fact that you were aware? Good luck and hopefully everything will work out ok for you!
