Hi,

I am an Australian citizen living in the UK and i wanted to apply for a Canadian work permit (skilled with sponsored employment).

Will i need to send the application documents to the office in Sydney Australia or could i send it to the Canadian embassy here in London in the UK ?

Thanks.

Hi Ezye,

You can use London UK VO, provided you've been:
1- legally admitted to the UK
2- you've been there for at least one year.

However, my suggestion to you is to check which VO is faster in processing immigrants files, and make your mind. Theoretically speaking, information correspondences between CHC in Australia with Australian authorities, universities, employers...etc could be faster and more effective through CHC Australia office, than UK Office, I suppose.

Let's see what fellow members, from Australia VO have to say.

Cheers

Hi guys,

I think Sydney VO is bit slow also Australia has fewer visa allocated then other countries, post june 2010 applicants seem faster...It took Sydney, Novasotia aprox 6 month to give me positive assessment, tranfered to Sydney Australia..almost in 2 months its gone in process...with the date...
