My husband and I are just starting the immigration application process -- I'm Canadian, he's Australian -- we live in France and are having difficulty getting the fingerprints done for the Australian police check.  Does anyone know where we can get them done -- we've asked the Mairie and they called the local Gendarmerie, but no luck so far.  We are going to Canada in a couple of weeks for a visit, can he get his fingerprints done while we are there?

Thanks

Yes, you can have them done in Canada.  There's a private security firm, Commissionaires, they can do it for you.  You may need an appointment, I know many spouses visiting in Canada have used them.  Here's a link for them: http://www.commissionaires.ca/national/en/services-business/business-fingerprinting/

Thank you CharlieD...that's good news.  Anything to avoid a bureaucratic struggle.
