August 2011 applicants lets get the waiting game started :)

I noticed that a lot of people who sent their applications on July 30th that arrived by August 3rd or 4th are already approved. Mine arrived around August 4th and I have not heard anything yet. I see they already started approving people August 8th onwards. Does this mean my sponsorship application may be rejected or that something else is wrong? The marriage is very legitimate and I lived in the country where my spouse resides for about a year and it was not an online relationship and I included a lot of supporting evidence. I am in a panic as every day I wait for the mail now that the website says they are working on August 8th onwards applications.

I have a decent job and included all the docs and paid all the fees... what could be the delay? Do some applications just take much longer? Should I try to get in touch with them?

Mine is worst than you dear!...my application was recived on july 26th, and still didnt hear anything from them..however, I called them 2 days ago and they told me that they recived my appliction and I'm gonna recive a letter around first of Nov!!!! I just dont know why this long delay..they didnt told me anything more than that!!! so i'm gonna wait and see whats gonna happen ..by Nov if i dont hear anything I will recall them again....So I'm worried about this long delay or of being rejected or something is missing and they will return my package back!!...but I pray that's we hear a good news!

Ms.X some people here are approved but didn`t get response from Mississauga so I think that you should definitely call them...Read my posts from page 53, in one of those post is telephone number. Good luck

I am sure everything will be ok...Just be patient when you call, I was on the phone more than hour both times...Don`t forget to ask for your client number so that you can login on icas

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your kind comments. All day I have been coming up with horrible scenarios in my head and thinking I may have to move to the country where my husband lives if necessary but now I realize I must relax and tomorrow (Monday) I will get up early (I am in Vancouver) and call and call and call until I get through. I cannot believe people were not informed of their approvals by email or letter.

The call centres are on local times.   Check the website, but I think they won't pick up until 8am our time.  I live in Vancity too! =)

ya for sure im already getting impeint ths sucks i miss my wife so much ya she did it in turkey and i sent my application aug 2 they recieved it aug 4 nothing yet been almost 3 months and i have not heard a thing i wonder how long its going to take after they approve me and they sent the paper work to turkey visa office or however it goes... im hoping i dont have to wait to long to see my wife its been 4 months and im just prayin to god her paper works goes smooth and her visa comes fast and for those that are also waiting i feel your pain....... and ill be in touch with you and everyone hopefully everyone hears something this week..

Finally I gave a call to CIC..could not resist myself

unfortunately I am not able to speak to agents...they seem to ( or pretend to) be very busy and asking me to call later.. but on automated response when I enter my client id -it says that my application was received on Aug 11....thats it..nothing else...

So now I dont know if this automated response is a positive sign or just a regular response as I never called CIC regarding my application status before. So people who already have got approval might have some idea if they got this response in automated system when they called CIC call center.

I will continue my attempts to speak to a CIC agent though...
