UCI is a 8 digit number that will be assigned to you and stick with you for the life time as long as immigration process is concerned.

Its very weird that I sent my application before you and I got approval also before you but still, I haven't heard anything. You are very fortunate. :-) I hope that everything goes smooth and well for you.

hi guys i got question

i got approved as a sponsor already and it was stated on the letter that they had transferred our application to our visa office abroad, my sponsored person has changed his address and yet we did inform the visa office with his new mailing address my question is do i have to inform the CPC-M office regarding my sponsored person's changed of address? or don't have too? and if so is it okay if we send a letter to CPC-M stating the new address even though we had inform the our visa office already about 3 weeks ago.

Are you able to log in in eCAS system? If yes, you could see which address they have.. (it would display in most of the cases)
When did you inform your visa office? before or after sponsorship approval? It's good to put File number while communicating with ur VO..

i am the sponsor, so my ecas number is okay i can log in into the system. its my husband is the sponsored person and he changed his address. Yes we did inform our VO already about 3 weeks ago we informed them right after i got approved as a sponsor. so i am wondering if i should inform CPC-M of my husband's new address because right now my sponsored person is still waiting for a letter from our VO.

No need to inform CPC M...they won't change it anyway unless you want to change your Canadian mailing address. You need to inform your VO about change in the mailing address of principle applicant, once the file is transferred to VO,

Thanks again everyone, my friend whom i authorised to pick up the passport cant make it today as the vo is only open from 8.30 to 11.30 on friday !!! And i cant fly to kuala lumpur in time myself..arghhhhhh!!! Monday is a Public Holiday so Tuesday it is then, stumped by probability 

By the way the approval letter states two file no for me, one is B and one starts with F. The F is the same as in sponsor approval, what does B no mean???

We received XXXXXXXXXXXX application for permanent residence on August 22, 2011

That's all. How come there's no medical received, my wife did her medicals in June and also there's no adress? I am reading on everybody's post that they are seeing the adress. I have written the adress correctly so why wouldn't it show? Also, my file was transfered 20 days ago, which means that it has reached my VO for sure. So why is there nothing showing except what mentioned above?

In order to check the address you have to use > Application: Fxxxxxxxxx with the main applicant information instead of  UCI.(which you can find on the left top corner  under the UCI)
