Yes my husband and I are experiencing this as we speak. We were told the same thing yesterday that they mailed us a letter on Monday after our file was opened the same day requesting more info!!
We are not sure what it means or what else they need, we made sure that we had all docs when we sent it. So we will have to wait and see. Hopefully tomorrow it will come and we can send it back to them quickly, this waiting game is getting so frustrating.

we have the same timeline familyguy33...we unable to reached the cic cause my hubby had no patient of w8ting automatic answer...so as u said they sent u mail hope our also is on the way........cause they really on sept 7 approval...
it can be refused letter togther with ur documents submitted or maybe an approved letter..
but mostly approved letterrrrrs...

Hi guys,
Just called CIC this afternoon the agent I talked to told me that they sent me a mail or email but then she doesn't know what the mail is about. Have anyone experienced this? Should they know if it's approved or not? I'm thinking it's neither maybe request for more docs?
Let knows know what you think or if I've experienced ths already. Thank you!
you could try loging into ecas using ur fee receipt number and if u r lucky....u would see the status update..Good luck! |

That also depends when they opened his file..our app was received Aug 29th and opened on Monday we were not able to access ecas until this morning..all ours says is in process  |

On thetop right hand corner of your payment receipt you should enter it exactly as shown if "R" is the letter make sure you add that first and then the digits with no spaces. Hope that helps you  |

yah no result.... i used the sponsor name not me as applicant.... and used receipt number (IM___).  .. maybe just w8 for the uci |

@ bdh thanks. How did u know you need more documents? Did the agent tell you?
@ crisetphil log in using ur client Id which also is the sponsor's pr card number the one with the hyphen in the middle. Using that worked for me , I've been trying to use the receipt number for the past few days but nothing then I used my pr card number then iwas able to access ecas.
BtW, in ecas it just says decision made and when the app was received and processed, no result, ugh.

Well as I stated in my last post it took until today to find any answers on ecas..we only found out that it is in process and yesterday when speaking to an agent a letter was coming stating we needed more info. So until we get what ever info is needed back to them I doubt we will see the status change any time soon.
Do you have a client ID# yet? I would try that and see I don't think the receipt is the best one to go with.

We found out that our file was opened on Monday and then called Wednesday to have them tell us more info was needed. of course they don't know what it is you need. So I am patiently waiting for this letter to come. Hopefully it is here tomorrow and get it sent back quickly. Did you pay all the fees? She told me that if you pay your fees you app won't be sent back but if you haven't then they would return the whole package back along with the letter..thank God we paid them all up front, we wouldn't want to pay the courier service to send back 5.5 lbs of docs..lol |

We haven't received an approval or refuse letter either, ours is still on process..we received our Client ID# call them and ask them for it if your app is in process then you should automatically get yours! |

I was actually told the same thing by an agent a couple of weeks ago..it only takes a day we should have received our letter already but something is missing from my end not my husband's so waiting patiently to send it back and get through this first stressful stage..and good luck to you this time around, I hope you hear good news soon!! |

Yes we paid everything. Looks like we re just waiting for the letter, too bad it's a holiday tomorrow so not until next week. Though the agent didn't tell me we needed more info she just said wait for the email, I guess it's not an email since its take so long.
Btw, what does your ecas say?
