Everything is ready to be mailed out...  But told hubby to mail it on monday instead as if he mails it tommorow it would be stuck in the postal office over the weekend anyways....dont want to chance it being misplaced, what do you guys think? 11th august + 52 days = 2nd october Or 15th august + 52 days = 6th october the earlier the better.. we never know when cic will change things and one day might just matter. |

Really happy your applocation was finally delievered kuku  Ryffa_Q i agree with aileenruss the sooner the better when it comes to sending application. Hope next week the wait doesn't increase again Also waiting to hear about my kids citizenship too and should hear from both at about the same time now |

hey guys... I've heard of people getting a confirmation email or something from CIC, a sort of "we've received your application and will start working on it soon" kind of thing.. does everyone get these? if so, can people share how soon after sending their app in they received these?

I don't have a clue about any confirmation email, i haven't had one.
I'm not sure on that sorry pegasusyt.
One thing i am glad about is we sent it over the summer holidays so i've got the 4 kids to keep me busy, however my youngest also starts school this year so as of the 12th September i will have nothing to do thats when its gonna drive me mad lol.

hahah... I hear ya. I have nothing to do now and it's pretty unnerving. especially when I try to check application status and it doesn't work  I want to believe it's only because they haven't processed yet, not because there's some problem with my client ID or something. ARGHhhhhhhh. |

Yes! I am loving the 3 kilo club. It was certainly hard to say good bye to it, though.
I have heard that people get the "we'll get to your application" email within a week, but that probably wasnt during the summer when the employees are being shipped around CIC. I expect it in two weeks.
btw, I was reading in the July 2011 thread about someone who called their MP to rush their sponsor approval and it worked. We are sitting at 52 days now but I dont know how that will change in September, when vacations are done and all that. And i dont know what he said to convince them that he gets priority.

ooh, be nice if you could find that out! I've never dealt with an MP but have heard of many cases where they have been involved. thanks for the info re: email thing. lol I know, that app was my baby! when I walked out of the purolator office after mailing it my eyes got watery.. I worked on it for almost 2 years, it was such a huge weight off my shoulders! |

some people from june and july (ESPCECIALLY ME!) ) are very upset of that outrageous thing that happend. This is so unfair that someone was "better" than everyone else, patiently waiting people.... Im not mad on the person who got approved, i am really glad for this person. I just hate this system..... Thats just disgusting  |
