I got PPR on December 14, and sent my and my wife's passport on Jan 6 by FedEx to LA office. LA office received it on Jan 07, signed by Mr. Racine. As yet today, February 02nd I have not received it. Trying to track the return envelope with FedEx tracking, but no luck. They say that they will process passport once received by 15 business days. In my case 19 days has already been passed. My e-cas status has not changed since last October from "IN PROCESS", says we start processing your file on Sep 22nd. I sent a case specific enquiry to LA office on Jan 31st, no response yet other than the aumatic generated response. My status in USA ends around mid february, 2011. I have to leave USA by mid April. I am so much stressed with this issue. Can you please tell me what could be the reason of delay? Is there anything else I can do? Thank you.

Hi,
Eventhough the visa office says their standard processing for visa after passport receipt is two weeks, we have to give an allowance of at least a week due to any possible exigencies in their office. So I hope your passports will be ready soon. Don't worry and also no need to bother about your ECAS at this stage  because most of the time the visa offices will not update the ECAS.

Thank you Wilson for ur response. I hope the same. I will not mind to get it even 2 weeks later if I know that I am getting it after 2 weeks. I am anxious if anything has happened!!!

Yes indeed!. It is quite natural that every one used to get tensed during their processing period and especially once the pp is submitted until it is received back with visa!!. You can relax as you have plenty of time till Mid April  to leave USA. Hopefully,  February should give you a good news!!! Smiley.
