My FSW application (NOC#7242) was received by CIO Nova Scotia on the first week of July 2011. It was received by a certain Mr. Doug. Then just last two weeks, I received an email from CIO that they already received my application documents and I got a positive results on their initial assessment. They also included my File Number in their email. I verified it in Canadian Immigration website and my name is really there in their database.

Anybody who also received the same email of the same nature after submitting their application on/after July 2011?

As you can see in the spreadsheet some people are still waiting to get their cc carged.
To get PER  the time line is 60 +  days.

Planningtogo,

I really dont know if there is a fixed time schedule for the confirmation email to be received by you. In my case, it was unexpected. I dont know if this works for you but my advice would be, "Dont pre-occupy your mind to 'wait' for it."  In my case, I got tied up with work and until one day, I received the email.
