I think it should be fun though.

Yeah definately it will be fun. just that you will have to do couple of refuels in the 800 miles solo stretch.

Rhino,

You said that you just began the CPL and you will complete it by next year. how many hours a week do you fly ? just curious. it must be expensive. what is the per hour rate you are paying ?

Hey Sridas,
Thankx for the great info. were u a provincial nominee or just a federal skilled worker?? i am a provincial nominee myself. just for the benefit of others if you could jot down the timeline from scratch to now that would be appreciated.in my letter from them they dont mention i am in fast track. but i figured out  the six month means my things will not be even be looked into for close to six months meaning from my estimates, i should hear from them by atleast the end of x-mass or early next year. other friends puts it even closer to  October or Nov although to me its very unlikely.

AB governor,
U r right its very expensive. man u cant believe how much money it has consumed. at the point i am not yet in CPL. i am still in PPL but i mentioned CPL earlier as my ultimate licence. like i want to fly the big stuff. no right now i am still flying the slow Cessnas. i pay about 185 bucks an hour to fly that slow stuff and i am still with the instructor.

Rhino,

so are you doing your CPl with a degree or private aviation training. CPL will be fruitful and will get your money back. considering the economic times this is the best time to negotiate the rate. once recruitments being it will pay off.

Hey Sridas,
Thankx for the info brother. although i must comment you on your patience man. it took almost one year for you to get your CSQ nomination.  you did wait. so when your applied for the feds in 2008, when did you get your file number from Nairobi? and why in process in Jan 2009 rather than that four months after you applied. i mean, you  should have gotten a file by Jul 2008 as you mentioned before. and in your own estimate when should i expect my medicals?? when will they request mt RRPF??
Thankx.

hi rhino,
i got file num in july 08 for federal appl. but they stared processing in 26 jan 09. they said for 6 months my appl will b stagnant. anyway  we should wait. we cant put pressure otherwise they will delay n can cause rejection for nothing. so just bePATIENT .

Hey Sridas,

Thanks so much for your info. we right we should be patient and that's very true. the only reason i keep asking is that, i am so ready to go home financially that the  this is the only obstacle that's holding me back. i have been away from home for so long. i have two more questions for you today though. when you send your passport, what company is the safest and what are the embassy guidelines in sending it?? when are you asked to pay u r right of permanent residency fee??

YOu are right Sridas.
Its the most slow and backward in the whole world. i just dont get it. i hope there is reforms soon. seriously they need it so much.
but i  have a feeling  your time is almost here. trust me it will happen anytime this month. either the 4th of September or at least before the month ends. just keep waiting. you have waited this long and you have come too far to slow down. you are nearing the finish line.  good luck to you.
