Hello all,

I'll be landing in Toronto in a couple of weeks and was unsure about the following:

1)How much in proof of funds do I need to carry? I realise the POF requirements and can carry the amount as a bank draft but as I'll be visiting canada only for a week this time to complete the landing formalities, I am reluctant to carry a lot of money. Can someone advise what will be a safe amount (cash/bank draft) that will satisfy the immigration officer? I will take along my bank statements regardless.

2) Is travel insurance required to travel to Canada? As I'll be going there for a week only, I hopefully wouldn't need it and even if I do, can't I buy private insurance there as a worse case (i know it'll be more expensive though!)

3)Where can I get the forms for:
a)Goods Accompanying list and
b) Goods to Follow List (Form B4 / B4A)

I should be able to fill in the Accompanying goods list but as of now I'm not sure what items to put down on the Goods to Follow list. I'll probably not take anything when I return to Canada permanently. So shall I leave it blank?

Thanks for any inputs!

Thanks Kanamen.

For POF if I'm the only applicant does that imply I need to carry approx $11500 (Canadian)?

Regarding travel insurance, please can someone tell if that's an absolute requirement?

Thanks again.

1) That amount is OK for you as POF

2)Travel Insurance is not an absolute requirement, but can save a lot of amount in case of emergency
