Arranged employment / Sub contract???

Hey everybody..

I am working in Canada now under the youth mobility program.. I am legally in Canada until april 2009.
My friend has he's own company registered in BC.

He wants to offer me a job.  All he does is work as a contract pilot for different helicopter companies in Canada. And that is what i will be doing as well, but hired on under he's company.

Is that legal?
If yes, does my salary have to come from he's company, or can i get paid directly from the company which i am contracting for. ?
