hi to all, are the people in the canadian embassy will ask you about your current status in the US and are they going to ask you to show  certain immigration papers during your interview ... i ask this question in behalf of my friend who will be waiting for his interview date....

I have never heard about anybody being denied immigration to Canada because they were out of status in the US, on the contrary, several members of this board have said they immigrated to Canada successfully even though they were out of status.

If they are out of status in the US, at the interview they will have to prove that on their original admission that they were admitted for at least 1 year.

actually my friend's status was still on process, but she wanted to move to canada..
