i am eligible to take the CRNE in ontario and vancouver...anybody here who knows if there are still hospitals in such areas that sponsor nurses? i am still awaiting my medical request from VO but thinking that an offer of emplyment would speed it up.

hi,
One of  my friends got hired as a nurse at Surrey Memorial through Fraser health. Check the link below.
http://www.fraserhealth.ca/careers/find_a_job/hot_jobs/hot_jobs
Getting an Offer of employment at at this stage would not speed up anything, it could have... if you had one at the time of your full supporting  documents submission. However, VO woud give it a positive consideration if you could manage to get atleast a job confirmation.
Good luck

Hi,
I am also a nurse. IEN. Just passed the CRNE which I took last October 6. I took it through CRNM (Manitoba). I went on visit visa just to sit for the CRNE. Befor e coming to Canada i asked my friend to look for an employer for me. When I arrived in Winnipeg, I was interviewed in one of the hospitals, and fortunately, I got hired. My RN license in under process now. LMO will be processed once the license is out. Working visa processing will be next. I also have pending PR application, waiting for medicals. Some seniors said LMO cannot speed up PR application. I also have learned that it is more difficult to find employer in BC and in Ontario. Why not try Manitoba and some other smaller provinces for a start. Are you inside Canada? When are you taking the CRNE? Good Luck on your CRNE.

Hi, i haven't sat the CRNE yet. I am eligible to for Vancouver and Ontario. Although i have asked Mannitoba about my registration, they said that they will accept parallel registration if i will be registered in Ontario..i don't like to spend hundreds of $ to register in Mannitoba yet as i already spent in Ontario and Van. I should have tried Mannitoba first before the other 2 provinces but its too late...i have sent hundreds of resumes in ontario but they don't reply back. I am assuming that its different when you there and meet them in person than just emailing...i am in New Zealand at the moment and waiting for med request... why don't you pass your job offer to your visa officer to speed up your PR? it does help your apps according to the immigration officer from sydney VO.
Just a thought, what sort of reviewers did you use for the CRNE?

THANKS
LLOYD

I used Lippincott CRNE reviewer and the 5th edition CRNE prep guide of CNA. I sat for a prep course as well in the Philippines. Once I have my LMO I will also integrate that to my PR application. Some seniors here commented LMO's wont speed up though it can make one's case stronger because of the additional points that it bears.
