Hello All,
       Architects who have applied for 2011 PR or those who have already landed.We can gather here to discuss the job market in Canada with respect to Architect Jobs.

 I am currently residing in Atlanta,USA where the Job market is not that great.Hence thinking of Canada,Toronto.Please provide inputs as to what your thoughts are and whats the current scene for Architects and related jobs like drafting etc., in Canada.

Regards,
JD

Good that you created this thread JD. I was about to do so. I'm an architect also, and waiting my passports to come back with Visa. I have been trying to contact few colleagues to understand the market trend in Canada, especially Toronto as I have plan to land there. To be honest, the picture is not yet clear and we would like to get the opinion of others who succeeded to land and find a job. So this is an open invitation to everyone who can contribute to this subject and give advices. I can sum up the main issues that face me as immigrant with architect occupation;
-   Where to land? What is the best place for architects to land and settle?
-   Jobs and opportunities.
-   Salary. What is the range of salary that is expected for architects?
-   Education. If one is planning to pursue high education degree (MSC, or PHD ) which is the best city to land in.

We have a handful of threads for the same purpose, let's at least keep this alive. I've asked my huby to create a profile for himself and participate in this thread Cool

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

It seems that there are very few architects at this forum  Angry Angry. Does this mean that architects are not any more migrating to Canada? Is this a good or bad sign  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes?
