I received my approval email yesterday. It has "my" (sponsor) UCI and an F number. I was hoping for a new UCI for my spouse in that email. Is this normal?
congrats on your approval.....the F number is the application/file number that you need to access your spouses information under the ecas system....might take a day or two for you to log on |

The UCI number is what you use to access the sponsor's file. The F number is the application number and that's what you use to access the applicants file on ecas  |

I sponsored my wife Application was received on April 13th no 1st stage approval yet all I received from Ottawa is application is received and they want medical now before they proceed. File is on hold
And to add more agony DMP refusing to do medical on Appendix C form they want IMM1017 from embassy filed out and mailed to us so they can do medical. I emailed Ottawa no reply yet

I am confused coz all sponsors already have UCI, yet i find ppl asking on forum to call CIC agents to ask for UCI so that they can access the file on E-cas. Congrats to everyone who has been approved and patience to those who havent. My husband is sponsoring our application, we are approved, thank God!!! my question is, im not living in my home country now, but however i requested the application to be sent to my home country. I gave my email adress, my actual home adress (outside my home country) and my actual cell phone number (not my home country numbers). Will the visa office contact me on my international phone number? or will they mail me to my international home adress? thanks for replying guys.

Sponsors who have never dealt with CIC before, they don't have an existing UCI. One is created for them after the application is opened and processing begins. I am confused coz all sponsors already have UCI, yet i find ppl asking on forum to call CIC agents to ask for UCI so that they can access the file on E-cas.
