Interesting scenario. I know that (based on a few poster's experience) that they are now allowing you to apply for visitor's visa while awaiting spousal PR application. So it didn't need to be a secret. Would like to hear if anyone tries but is NOT allowed that avenue.
visitor visa applied before marriage to give her surprise ! but was got rejected will it affect the pr application. i had not mention i know anyone or was going to meet my fiancee ! i just appied visitor tourist visa with my mom. |

Friends,
I called in CIC to hear a automated message that they did received my application on April 10 and when I spoke to callcentre agent, she said the file is in process and the decision will be made in the next few days.
Crossed my fingers and eagerly awaiting for my approval.... Good luck for everyone.
My wife applied for sponsor spouse outland visa in may 2012 when she returned to canada, we got married in india in march 2012, but before marriage i and my mom apply for visitor visa to give her surprise in feb 2012 but i didnt mention that i know anyone in canada and i am going to visit her in canada. will this affect my application ? visitor visa got rejected. |

Think some of you are all "overly" concerned with the order of the applications being approved. I like to think of it that it's not like the Walmart "express" line up (you know with 6 cashiers servicing one line) but rather the regular Walmart line-ups where once you pick a line, you're stuck with it (and don't we all get the slowest line). Let's say 50 VO's all take an application from the top of the pile, I SURE AM GLAD that agent #50 doesn't go around and check with the first 49 to see that their approvals are sent out before his, what he was able to approve his in 30 seconds or less.
Anyway, whoever said that life was fair. But it's not SO unfair that we won't get our approvals (or rejections if applicable).

Hi jpbs..no need to repeat yourself so many times....Being rejected a visitors visa has no affect on your PR application... |

Yes, visitor visa rejection won't affect your PR application but it will add an additional step for VO to verify there are really no concerns from your earlier application. My wife applied for sponsor spouse outland visa in may 2012 when she returned to canada, we got married in india in march 2012, but before marriage i and my mom apply for visitor visa to give her surprise in feb 2012 but i didnt mention that i know anyone in canada and i am going to visit her in canada. will this affect my application ? visitor visa got rejected.

sorry my appology but hope u understand its so much tense and days are very hard with out wife. cic are really taking more days and delays, atleast for husband wife can get any kind of dependent visa too till pr get approve. |

thank u caprwife, thanks for ur guidance , god knows y lawyer sitting in canada says that u should have atleast mention in visitor visa form that u know fiancee in canda and u know her and will visit. but at the end he also says thats ok, sometimes i really feel this lawyer also play with our emotions. |

Awesome news, taschj! Hopefully there's a few more approvals today as well. I also messed up quite a few things on my app, Rosie.. so your definitely not the only one 1. Didn't write "Spousal Sponsorship" on the envelope 2. When I ordered tax info from CRA I asked for Notice of Assessment not Option C and that's what I included in the app (but wasn't a big deal I guess since I never was requested Option C) 3. Attached pictures to paper (not loose like they asked.. whoops) 4. Hubby's medicals expire in Nov 5. Didn't include nearly as much proof of relationship as I should have and I don't think we answered some of the questions in enough detail. Interview will be requested for sure |
