Hello April Applicants, First of all Congratulations to all the applicants who have received email CIC and GOOD LUCK to everyone else who is waiting.
I too received an email from CIC-M today, I am sponsoring my wife, the email states "that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/04/11" . I think is should have been "that your application for "SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP" has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/04/11"
Please help, i am worried that they have placed my application in wrong category.
Here is the content of the email:
UCI: XXXXXXXX Application No.: XXXXXXXXXX Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office. This is an automated message. Please DO NOT RESPOND to this message. Dear ------ -------, This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/04/11. When should I contact CIC? You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include: • Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce • Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number) • Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual • Decision to withdraw your application

Dear Shasi, My application was also received on 11/April/2012. It was received by Golczynski. Could you please confirm if your application was received by the same person. I am bit worried about the application. Many thanks.

A June 1st applicant got Aproval. What a mess CIC is. I am puzzled about their logic. I hope all April Applicants endure the wait. It is unfair for mid April to mid May applicants. Waiting 45 days compared to 93 is such a imbalance. The only difference is that it seems the volume of April approvals is higher than the end of May approvals. Good luck to the Mid Aprillicants. FS, I can see your post already here, blasting out the approval news.

Thanks once again, mobeyk! It will be a glorious day when that approval comes through.
As for the June 1st approval, I think it's totally unfair and all Aprilicants and May applicants should be super annoyed, even angry, at the way CIC is currently conducting business. To think we all had to wait 3 months...
What I hope is that the visa office processes those who had a super long wait for stage 1 approval faster than those who got stage 1 approval faster...that would balance things out a bit...but I really doubt they even care...
Today is day 90 for me...Will it be 3 more agonizing days of waiting, or will CIC step up to the plate and do what's right??
I should really think about becoming a CIC bookie...

I just phoned the call centre. The first time automated system answered my application was received on 11/April/2012. I have also spoken to the call centre agent who has checked my application and told me no decision has been made yet. They are still working with the application received on 02/April/2012.
After having response in the automated system how many more days it will take to receive a decision?
CAPRWIFE or anyone any comment please?
To CAPRWIFE-- Have u phoned the call centre? Have u got any response from the automated system?
thx guys.
