I think its the first time I am getting really nervous. So close to the average waiting time for stage 1 approval. Specially on a Sunday away from work and distraction. Almost 3 months now without any signs from CIC. At least the spreadsheet is starting to take on color. Let it be the week for all who applied between March 3rd and 13th.

The visa officers should be well rested and ready to get down to business...the coffee is fresh (though no one ever bothers to make it!), the donuts are ready...they have all they need...now give us what we need!!! The approvals come mostly by mail, so add another 3-4 days extra for those living outside North America. FS i am sure you get the visa faster than my wife. There is no better and clearer case than yours. |

Last night I called the call centre in case the automated system provides me with some information regarding the outstanding application. Unfortunately, I did not get any info. Are you planning to call the number tomorrow? I will do on Tuesday. Let's see. Please inform if any update. thanks. |

FS i am sure you get the visa faster than my wife. There is no better and clearer case than yours.
We both entered our e-mail addresses on the forms, so hopefully they will send an e-mail instead of regular mail. If it's regular mail, we won't know for at least 2 weeks. 3-4 days is wishful thinking, unless they have already sent the letter? Maybe to Hong Kong it is faster than Guangzhou? Thanks for the vote of confidence. The only concern we have is WHEN?!! We don't want to have to wait for a second medical or anything else...we just want to get the approval by the beginning of February 2013, which leaves us with a month to sort our flights, sell our car, wire the money back home, and say goodbye to family and friends...I doubt I will give my employer notice, but even if I do, I'm going to make up some excuse as to why I can't stay...it's really none of their business... Anyways, let's all hope this week is a good one and that the visa officers work hard!!! FS |

I keep trying to visualize my package...the visa officer putting it on his/her desk...opening it...crying with joy that someone got it perfectly right...stamping the approval and sending me a personal e-mail with warm regards from CIC. Haha! That'll be the day.
Yes, come on CIC, please just send us our approvals. We only want to be back home with our families!! We'll be good citizens...we'll follow our obligations as sponsors and sponsored...we won't break the law...we just want to be reunited!!

I think we all understand that feeling. Last week I had seriously worked myself into a panic because I was sure I had screwed up the application and/or CIC hadn't even received it. The day that your not expecting it, you'll have an email from CIC-M or O waiting in your inbox. It's going to be a-okay! Where's Rosie with her tea when we need her? |
