Plz suggest me
I applied  under  FSW 1 in 2010 (March ) .Waiting for MR . I wrote to CHC ND in regards of  updates in my file since I have a son recently born in my family and I want to change my email ID. I asked them to inform me what are the  documents to be submitted but I got Automated computer  response which did not reply my query . It is mentioned there that
Unless we have specifically asked you to do so, you are not required to submit any documentation at this time.  Our office will contact you to provide the required supporting documentation for the assessment of your application.

In such case,  Should I send the updated documents to CHC so It would ease my document processing in days to come . Plz help me. Actually It takes time to get Passport here in Nepal  so should I wait for  letter of CHC for my Update or I can arrange and send the documents.

I got following reply in response to CSQ sent by me. It states that my application is not likely to be processed in 2012. So, the never ending longgggggg wait continues.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

An Acknowledgement of Receipt letter was sent to you after your application was received by our office.  Your application is currently in a queue awaiting initial review.

Unless we have specifically asked you to do so, you are not required to submit any documentation at this time.  Our office will contact you to provide the required supporting documentation for the assessment of your application.

If you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after 27 February 2008 and before 26 June 2010, your application is not likely to be processed in 2012.
Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between 27 February 2008 and 25 June 2010) than originally projected. During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011. As a result, applicants will wait two years or more to be processed.

If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees.

Applications in the Skilled Worker category are processed in order of receipt.  Your application forms and fees guarantee your place in the processing queue.  Your file is being processed in accordance with its place in the queue, based on the date on which the application and fee payment were received in our office. As we are not yet ready to review your file, you are not required send any documents in support of your application.  Since your application is still within normal processing times, we are not able to provide any status updates on your file.  When we are ready to review your file, we will send a document request letter to you using the contact information we have on your file.  That letter will list all documents required to continue processing your application.

Until we contact you, the only information you are required to provide us in order to update your application is:

- Change of address or contact information, including email address
- Change in your family composition
- Request to withdraw your application and refund the application fees
- Submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Social Development Canada
- Change to your representation

If you wish to engage, change, or revoke a paid representative, the form IMM 5476 Use of a Representative, available at this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/representative.asp, must be completed and signed by you then sent to our office.  In all correspondence with our office, remember to quote your file number, full name, and date of birth.

For information about processing times, please visit the following link to our website:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/processing_times-durees_traitement.aspx

Processing times to finalization may vary depending on the number of new applications received and the individual complexity of each application.  For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in New Delhi for the last 12 months, please refer to the CIC website at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02a-skilled-fed.asp

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

The Dreaded Letter of Delay, I was always dreading that this would happen and hoping that this would not happen, but finally it has happened.

Two more years of delay, we applied in April 2010 that is 20 months of wait already done, but this shows that another 16-18 months wait is on the cards,

We applied as per guidelines hoping the process would be over in 6-9 months as projected and promised by CIC but now this has been stretched to 36 months and God knows they might come up with another delay reason after 36 months. !!!!

Life On Hold.

Thanks mehulca for sharing this

Dear forum members,

Please do not take this reply seriously. They are sending same email to everyone by saying that they are not going to process any application in 2012. In actual they don't wanna get disturbed with inquires made by Pre-June applicants. I applied at Sydney V O and they were sending same reply to all Pre-June applicants to wait for at least 2 or more years.

I got same reply as well on 14th Nov 2011 but just after two weeks they request for updated information on my file and told that they are going to review my file soon. They have asked for updated information to many Sydney V O applicants at the same day. So this could happen to you guys as well. And please note NDVO is even faster than Sydney V O, because they got huge number of staff.

So friend please don't lose faith. You will hear from Visa office very soon. Sydney is an example

I think NDVO is sending standard reply to all CSQ and doesn't bother to look at as to who requested the same. It may happen that some pre-june applicants will have to wait for 2013 (to get their visa stamped), but I disagree on the point that VO will not process any pre-june application in 2012.

Everything is based on individual prediction,

There is no-one who guarantees for timeline. and they process individual case in individual time line based on the proof we provided. To make any preconceive ideas based on nothing can lead the group to negative thoughts. they may be right that they wont be able to process whole files till end of next year. But it is happening to everyone. I have seen lot of MI-3 applicants are waiting and may be waiting longer too to get MR, while most of them got visa stamped who applied in April or so.. Its upto you where u want to place ur self.

I think somehow we are here in this forum to get true knowledge, or to kill our waiting time in positive ways, not getting more stressful news which is not even exist

Hi Kavya,

I am pretty much agree with you , even now NDVO is working on pre June applicants which is visible on the forum as NDVO June applicants got there status changed to RBVO last week.

@  Indian , what I seem you are faking everything , didn't you mention that your application got rejected and here is the link. You always give your number to everybody that seems so strange

Thanks for support. I think when we come to this forum, we expect to get some positive boost up to kill our waiting period. everything is based on 50-50% so we just need to keep going and being positive. See, we all have managed to pass around two years to many of us with a little hope to get visa. and I am sure those who are being positive will surely get MR soon. As far as it concern to Indian, He also send me his number, What I can suggest here is that I have nothing to discuss about my case in person. and Also I am not here for any kind of controversies, So lets keep in union to kill the rest of waiting time,,

Good luck
