I have a question ,does that means it will take 2 years to start the process in our files?? is it a good option to submit a new application or just wait??This is not fair
Hi Rammoo, You can always have 2 applications in process....nothing wrong in it. If your profession is in the latest MI list and you qualify and have extra money for processing the application then you can reapply. CIC would automatically request you to withdraw one application when the other reaches a point of decision. Mitali

Hi Mitali do you agree that it will take 2 years to start the process??
That is a difficult question to answer because of the complexity of the situation: 1. Not in demand list 2. Too many applications to handle 3. New applications in the demand list of 29 to be catered to first (which is really unfair) The other side: 1. CIC is upgrading itself, so the processing will be faster after the teething period (period unknown) 2. Restricted applications for this yr (only 500/profession) > less load to cater Since CIC has categorically mentioned "2yrs or more" for <June applicants, I believe it will be about 2 yrs or LESS to process. I say less, because CIC would always want to keep a buffer time. And with time the system would have upgraded itself. In the coming months as the > June applicants get through the <pre Jun people will also see movement in their files. We have to remember that this was a testing time for CIC and unfortunately the 2008 and <Jun applicants have become the guineapigs. Hopefully CIC has learnt a lesson and will treat their clients more appropriately in future. Mitali

CIC said it would take 2 years to reach decisions for the 144,000 applications. Everyone read thishttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/speeches/2011/2011-07-19.aspSpeaking notes for The Honourable Jason Kenney, P.C., M.P. Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism At the Vancouver Board of Trade Vancouver, British Columbia, July 19, 2011 you'll know why its taking so long. Recent polls show that nearly 80% of Canadians are opposed to significantly higher levels of immigration.

That's not good at all I got this standard reply from New Delhi high commission Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
This application was received at our office on May 14, 2010. Since you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period. * Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.
* During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.
* This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.
If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Hi Sukhi, First of all Congratulations to you and your wife for your baby...I am sure she's a bundle of joy. These are the docs that you would require: 1. Notarized copy of baby's birth certificate 2. Notarized baby's passport copy 3. Photographs as per requirement 4. IMM0008 (2nd page to be filled again) - Family members details 5. IMM5406 - Additional Family Information 6. Application processing fees (150 CAD)/ the beneficiary name should be the same "Receiver General For Canada" incase of DD...it is mentioned in the CIO site, that processing fees should be in canadian funds... Post by Qorax: Addition of Newborn Baby/ies After the 2nd AOR/PER, anything & everything must go to the VO [not to CIO-NS]. And always remember to write a Cover Letter. As soon as the baby is born - Register the Birth [obtain a Birth Cert... hospitals will assist u with it, but the onus of getting the B/Cert shall rest with the parent/s] & Apply for his/her Pps. As u receive the pps, send the following to your local CHC [your VO]: 1. Forms: •Schedule 1: Background/Declaration Form [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008_1e.pdf•Additional Family Information Form [IMM 5406] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.PDF•Fee Payment Form [IMM 5620] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5620E.pdf2. Passport copies 3. Birth Certificate 4. Bank Draft [$150] 5. Cover Letter Mitali

(its visa targets assigned by CIC to all visa offices per annum..VOs cant go beying that..so they must process the files in the same manner as not to exceed or fall below the target) please reply if any friend know the proper information,, thanks.
